Progressive Cardiac Care Unit RN
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in a Progressive Cardiac Care Unit
- Unit: PCCU 63101
- 34 beds
- Located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building
- Floating is within scope of practice
- No on-call requirement
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Preferred Qualifications
- PCCN, TNCC, TCAR certifications
- Experience in ICU/PCU level of care
- Precepting experience
Unit Details
- Staffing: 11 PCTs and 12 RNs on day shift; 6 PCTs and 13 RNs on night shift
- Patient ratios: 1:5 for PCU level, 1:6 for MST level
- Equipment includes VS machines, EKG, bladder scanning, glucometers, and continuous pulse oximetry
- Typical procedures: Foley and NGT insertions, wound care
