Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Seattle, Washington
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10s, variable start times at 0845 or 1045
• Cases: 60-70
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend work required; travelers are expected to be flexible
• No on-call
• No floating within scope to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Locals accepted

Unit / Setting

• 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center
• Heavy in Ortho, Spine, and Neuro
• Will see other service lines
• Will not see any Cardiac or Transplant

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Circulate skills
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic

Preferred

• 3-4 years of experience
• Traveler to work Christmas
• ACLS is preferred for OR

Schedule / Time-Off Notes

• Holiday RTO restrictions apply
• Travelers can have 1 of 3 major holidays and 3 additional non-holiday RTO days outside the restricted holiday windows
• No more than 6 days of RTO

Additional Notes

• Interview times must be included with the profile
• Manager does not interview on Fridays
• Facility provides scrub color
• Epic charting
• Pyxis medication system
• Guaranteed hours: facility can call off 1 shift per every 2-week pay period
