PICU RN
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Seattle, Washington
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous charge experience
- NRP certification
- CRRT certification
Clinical Expectations
- Pediatric critical care experience
- May float to NICU or other units within skill set
- Every other weekend required
- Orientation provided

- Breathing treatments
- Chest tube setup and care
- CPAP/BiPAP
- High-frequency vents and oscillators
- Procedure sedation
- RSI medication administration
- Trach care and vents
- Blood and blood product administration
- CVP monitoring
- 12-lead EKG acquisition
- Drains
- Epidural pumps
- PCA pumps
- PICC/central line care
- Port-a-cath/vascular device access and care
- Syringe pumps
- Traction/halo/pin care
- Triple lumen catheter care
- Wound vac care
Scheduling Notes
- Travelers may be asked to meet unit needs for scheduling
- Up to 3 days of requested time off may be accepted; more than that will be screened
- No holiday requested time off
