NICU RN
Location
Seattle, Washington
Assignment Details
- Travel/contract role
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- 36 hours per week
- Level III or IV NICU
- 77-bed NICU with average census of 50
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (3 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Must be open to floating to different campuses
- Must be able to care for 23–24 week gestation infants
- No ECMO experience required; all other listed NICU capabilities are part of the role:
- CPAP/BiPap
- High Frequency Vents
- Oscillators
- Vents
- Blood/Blood Products Administration
- Cardioversion / Defibrillation
- Cooling / Warming Blanket
- Feeding Tubes
- PICC/Central Lines
- Syringe Pumps
- Must attend high-risk deliveries
- Must be able to care for neonatal surgeries
- Previous permanent employees of any Providence affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify
Floating
- Rarely floats due to high NICU need
- May float to Issaquah or Edmonds SCN
- May float to Pediatrics/NBN for newborns only
- If floated to Peds, only infants are assigned
Preferred
- Block scheduling if preferred; can work 3 or more shifts in a row
