Description

PACU

Overview

Travel/contract role in Huntington, West Virginia.
13-week assignment.
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 5:00–17:30.
Schedule is Monday through Friday only; no weekends or holidays.
Staff work either 1x12-hour shift and 3x8-hour shifts per week, with rotating shifts.
The department is a 29-bed outpatient surgery unit that also serves outpatient endoscopy pre/post and pain management pre/post patients.
The department provides pre-operative and post-operative care.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia.
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year.
1 year of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience.
One completed travel assignment.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
NIHSS.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred

AAA aneurysm experience.

Unit / Setting

Outpatient surgery department with outpatient endoscopy and pain management pre/post care.
Wide variety of cases including neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, general, and vascular.
Open Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 9:00pm.
