Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)
Role
Temp Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg/Telemetry unit.
Location
Des Moines, Iowa
Contract Length
13 weeks
Unit Details
- 15-bed unit
- Patient types: all types of med surg care
- Patient ratio: 4-5:1
- Drips: heparin
- Tele tech unit monitoring: Remote
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in Charge roles
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Skills in telemetry/cardiac background
- Precept experience
- Professional reference/reference check from within 24 months
Schedule
- Days
- 12 hours per day
Additional Notes
- Traveler will be required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
- Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed
- Open to extending past the initial 13 weeks
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility
