Neuro Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Trauma) RN

Overview

Travel RN assignment in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Start ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift options: Days 7A-7P or Nights 7P-7A
Every other weekend required
Call: none
Block scheduling accepted if it accommodates every other weekend
Floating required to any other med-surg or tele units
Patient ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
Unit has 24 beds
Facility has 396 beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Indiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
Keen neuro assessments
Critical thinking skills
Drain management
Must be greater than 50 miles from the facility

Clinical Scope

Higher med-surg acuity with post-op spinal surgeries
Level 2 trauma patients
Level 1 trauma post-ICU care
Stroke patients
DKA
Renal failure
General post-op care

Additional Notes

Cerner is listed as the EMR
Up to 1 week of pre-approved time off can be accommodated
