Interventional Radiology Rad Tech

Overview

• Location: Hermiston, Oregon

• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Supports diagnostic and interventional procedures through fluoroscopic imaging, sterile technique, procedural workflow coordination, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Works in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab, including fluoroscopy, scrubbing interventional cases, and monitor role duties.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program
• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oregon
• ARRT (R)
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Radiologic Science/Medical Imaging
• Certifications specific to areas of clinical specialty, such as RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale
• At least 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab managing fluoroscopy, scrubbing interventional cases, and functioning in monitor role
• Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking

Key Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging systems during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Perform image post-processing and send images to PACS
• Maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Function as scrub technologist when assigned
• Function as primary monitor technologist when assigned
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, identification, procedure verification, and timeout processes
• Support sedation, sheath pulls, and vascular access management as needed
• Collaborate on contrast allergy management
• Assist with supplies, room turnover, equipment checks, and reporting malfunctioning equipment
