RN - Bone Marrow

Overview

Travel RN assignment in Dallas, Texas
Unit: BMT
13-week contract
36 hours per week
Rotate weekends
Travelers float first

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Bone Marrow Transplant (1 year of experience)
Bone Marrow Transplant experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ability to read telemetry and monitor simple titration of drips
Oncology experience
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience

Preferred Qualifications

BMT experience

Unit Details

40 beds total, with 20 beds on each floor
Staffing includes HUC coverage Monday-Friday 7A-3P and 2 PCTs in the morning, 1 PCT in the evening
Meditech documentation system
Bedside monitors mounted on walls, bedside computers, and lift assist devices available
Procedures include infrequent BM biopsies
Unit performs autologous and allogeneic transplants, including related, unrelated, haplo-match and mismatch donors, plus CAR-T therapies

Bedside shift report
Safety rounds
Manage team up
No Pass Zone
Royal blue scrubs required
Welcoming to floats and contract employees
