Oncology ICU RN

Overview

Travel RN assignment in Dallas, Texas
13-week contract
36 hours per week
Unit: Oncology ICU
Location: 7ES, Floor 7, Building E
10-bed unit
Patient ratio: 2:1
Rotating weekends

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Bipap patient care experience
Transplant experience

Preferred Qualifications

CRRT experience
Transplant experience, including Kidney, Pancreas, and Liver

Unit Details

Staffed by 4
Day shift staffing includes 1 charge and RNs according to census; no techs
Night shift staffing includes 1 charge and nurses according to census; no techs
Equipment includes Vent, CRRT, A-line, Bipap, Flow-track, and IV pumps
EMR: Meditech

Typical Responsibilities

Care of critically ill patients
Total care, including turning, titrating drips, dressing changes, and trach care

Floating

All ICUs, PCU, BMT

Work Environment

Blue scrubs
Report at 0645/1845 and clock in/out for lunch
