Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Taos, New Mexico
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- 1:6 patient ratio
- Critical Access Facility with 18 beds
- First-time travelers accepted
- 75+ radius rule applies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify documentation
- 7-year criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- State license verification
- NURSYS verification for RNs
- Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III, each with a passing score of at least 80%
- 2 clinical references
- Complete application/resume with 7-year work history and gaps included
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
- Tdap within the past 10 years
- Drug screen within 90 days of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Fit testing completed on site
- TB questionnaire
- Photo for badge
- Code of conduct acknowledgement
- Acknowledgement of policy/procedures
- Emergency contact information
- Confidentiality agreement
- Photo release
- Behavior standards acknowledgement
- Mandatory education information orientation acknowledgement
- IT guideline acknowledgement
