Respiratory Therapist

Role Summary

• Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
• Travel/Contract assignment in Charleston, West Virginia
• 3x12 nights, 7p-7a, weekdays with some weekends and float
• Start dates are tied to orientations held every other Monday
• First-timers accepted: Yes
• Weekend work required: Yes
• On-call: No
• Floating within scope as needed, including to sister facilities
• Open to block scheduling, but not guaranteed
• Local travelers are accepted within a 100-mile radius; 75–100 miles may be considered as an exception
• Pending state license accepted
• RTO must be submitted two weeks before the next schedule and approved by the manager

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in West Virginia
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with Adult or Pediatric patients
• Driver's License

• 855 staffed beds
• Cerner charting
• Parking garage is free for travelers

Additional Compliance Notes

• Flu vaccine is required during flu season unless there is an approved medical or religious exemption
• COVID vaccine is not required
• Tdap is required
• Negative TB screening is required
• Drug screen is required within 30 days of start
• Annual skills checklist required for the specialty
• 1 reference is required from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse from a facility worked within 1 year of start
