Description
Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Lake Charles, Louisiana
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00–19:00
- 36 hours per week
- Locals accepted at the same bill rate
- No RTO
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- CPI
- Trauma experience
- RN license verification through NURSYS
- State license verification
- Background check and required onboarding/health documentation before start
- COVID vaccination required, with only facility-approved religious or medical exemptions
- Flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 30 days of start
- Physical exam
- Drug screen within the last 12 months
- Immunity or documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
Preferred
- Trauma ED experience
- More travel experience
- NRP
- ENPC
Notes
- CPI class is available through the facility if not already held
- Start as soon as possible
- Vacation or travel plans during the contract are not preferred
