Overview

Travel/Contract role in Lafayette, Louisiana
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Adults & Geriatrics
Float requirement: Yes, agency pulled first
Backfill for a cancellation

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Renal experience
Dialysis experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Patient Population / Clinical Focus

AKI, CKD, ESRD, DM, COVID+, COPD exacerbation, wound infection, PVD/PAD, GI bleed, clotted AV fistulas, general med/surg diagnoses, cellulitis
General medicine and renal patients requiring dialysis
General surgical procedures including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, wound debridements, central line and dialysis access placements, and amputations

Unit Details

Remote telemetry monitoring by tele tech
Peritoneal dialysis managed by the patient and dialysis nurse
Wound vacs
Pyxis
SBAR
EPIC

Additional Notes

1st timers OK
Emergency event assignment may require staying at the facility or joining the relief team
