Description
Postpartum RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Seattle, Washington
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- 36 hours per week
- Traveler choice for assignment length: 13 or 26 weeks
- Traveler choice for schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s
Role Details
- Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
- Large-volume, high-census postpartum unit with high-risk obstetric patients
- Float scope includes postpartum at Issaquah Campus, postpartum at Edmonds Campus, and Labor and Delivery for the 2nd hour of recovery
- May be asked to manage a 4th couplet during census surge
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Post Partum (2 years of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- High-risk obstetric care experience
- Magnesium management experience
- Pitocin administration experience
- Postpartum hemorrhage management experience
- Substance withdrawal care experience
- Management of 4 couplets (concurrent patient assignments)
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- JADA experience
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted if they have at least 2 years of experience with high acuity postpartum acuity
- 6 weekend days per contract
