Progressive Care RN

Overview

Contract assignment in Hilo, Hawaii
Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds: 3 Step down ICU and 12 telemetry
Day shift: 0645 to 1915
Scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
No guarantee of hours
No call

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting

Preferred

Progressive Care experience
Telemetry experience
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS certification

Unit Details

Primary nursing care
Telemetry monitoring
Telemetry strip reading
Fingerstick blood sugar
Meditech charting
Pyxis for medications
BIPAP
Continuous cardiac monitoring

Floating

Floats to all acute units in house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Additional Notes

Scrubs
For a specific traveler
If not currently in possession of an active State of HI license, must apply upon acceptance of offer
Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday
