Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Phoenix, Arizona
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
36 hours per week
Ratios: 1–2 couplets
Local candidates accepted
First-time travelers may be considered with at least 5 years of experience
Floating: occasionally to PostPartum if within scope
Unit/areas mentioned: Antepartum, LDRP, Mother/Baby

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Arizona
Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
AWHONN Intermediate
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

AWHONN Advanced
C-EFM
RNC-OB

Required Skills

Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
NST (Non Stress Tests)
Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus
Sterile vaginal exam
Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring)
Use of External & Internal Fetal Monitoring
Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration
Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Administration of blood & blood products
Drawing venous blood
Start & maintain peripheral IV
