Interventional Radiology

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Rotating call every 4th week.
• Imaging support in the OR working vascular IR.
• The role is for a tech, not a nurse.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
• Interventional Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARRT
• Experience with 3D imaging
• Experience with the C-arm
• Experience with PACS
• Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures
• Experience with HI-IQ documentation system
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong vascular/IR experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Comfortable being actively involved in the entire case workflow rather than only operating the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pull inventory and order cases in EPIC prior to procedures.
• Run the table and controls during cases.
• Perform 3D spins and work with fusion technology.
• Stay actively engaged in the room throughout the procedure, including filming and post-processing images.
• Use HI-IQ to document and add inventory used during the case.
• Work closely with vascular surgeons, the OR team, and other procedural team members.
• Use a C-arm to support simple surgical cases alongside X-ray staff during downtime, including Impellas and cystos.
