J4-NSICU, Building J
Assignment Details
- Travel assignment
- 12 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Self-schedule / unit needs
- 6 weekend shifts per period
- Travelers float first to other ICUs or to step down
- Navy blue uniform
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Neuro ICU (2 years of experience)
- Neuro ICU experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Experience working with Neurology patients
- Experience working with Neurosurgery patients
- Care of neurology post-thrombectomy and TPA patients
- Care of post-neurosurgery patients
- Experience with CRRT
- Experience with external ventricular drains (EVD)
- Experience with arterial lines
Preferred
- Neurology experienced ICU nurses
Clinical Focus
- Care of neurology post thrombectomy and TPA patients
- Post neurosurgery patients
- CRRT
- Bedside EVDs
- A-line monitoring
Equipment / Documentation
- Baxter pumps
