Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NRP
AWHONN

Preferred Qualifications

Postpartum experience
High risk LDR experience

Unit Details

Patient ratios: 3-4:1 for post-partum couplets; 1-2:1 for labor patients
Typical procedures include C-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, Doppler, and circulating C-sections
Equipment includes Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, POC Glucose monitoring, and Monica Novii telemetry

Work Environment

Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC/charge, desk clerk, scrub tech, and 5-6 RNs
Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC/charge, desk clerk, scrub tech, and 4-5 RNs
The unit values a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and staying busy
Patient care experience is a priority
