Observation Unit RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Toledo, Ohio
  • Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Ratios: 1:4 on all shifts
  • Adults and geriatrics

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Experience in Charge roles
  • Experience with titratable drips
  • Experience with cardiac drips
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred

  • Observation Medicine experience

Unit / Clinical Setting

  • Observation Unit
  • Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg
  • Telemetry
  • Fast-paced department with an 18–24 hour length-of-stay goal
  • Floating within service line as needed, including Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surg, Uro/Vascular, and Observation

  • EPIC charting
  • Free parking
  • RTO greater than 7 days requires management approval
  • Block schedule not accommodated
