NICU RN

Overview

Travel assignment in Margate, Florida
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Unit Details

18-bed Level 2-3 NICU on the 3rd floor of the Main Hospital
Same floor as the Post-Partum Unit
No mandatory call
First to float to Postpartum to take babies only or help out in Transition; not to be the only RN

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
Experience working with NICU Level 3 patients
BLS
NRP

Preferred

STABLE
NCC
RNC-LRN
C-NPT
C-EFM
Critical thinker
Emotional empathy and stability
Excellent communication skills
Nonjudgmental
Ability to multi-task
Used to being around traumatized family members

Clinical Experience

Experience with Jet vents, Oscillator vents, Nitric, central lines, ELBW babies, IV drips, and PIVs
Experience with jet ventilation
Experience with HFOV ventilation
Experience with inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)
Experience with central line management
Experience managing extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants under 1000g
