Description
PCU RN
Role
- PCU RN for Open Heart Progressive Care (6 Front Pod B)
- Travel/Contract assignment in Charleston, West Virginia
Schedule
- Night shift: 3x12 or 4x12, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekdays, every other weekend
- 36 or 48-hour contract options
- 36 hours guaranteed
Unit / Setting
- 29-bed progressive care unit for post-op open heart and other cardiothoracic post-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring
- Accepts Med/Surg overflow
- Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in West Virginia
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with chest tube insertion assistance, management and removal
- Central line experience
- External/internal pacemakers experience
- Wound vacs experience

Additional Notes
- Every other weekend is required
- Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests
- Limit holiday RTO requests to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
- Orientation is held every other week on Thursday
- 100-mile radius rule applies; 75–99 miles may be sent for facility approval
