Description
ED Holding Unit RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Charleston, West Virginia
- Night shift: 3x12, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Adults/Geriatrics patient population
- Ratio: 5:1
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- Floats to ED if needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in West Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports; Blood Product Administration; Peripheral line care/management, and Starting IV
- Heparin Protocols
- Manager Cardiac Drips - no titration
- Neurological/Psychiatric care: CVA, Seizure disorders, Substance withdrawal
- Experience with external CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Oxygen Face Masks, Portable Oxygen Tank; Non-invasive airway management; Care of ventilated patients & tracheostomy management
- Experience with MS/Tele and Telemetry
- ER Holding Experience
- Experience with Cerner
Preferred Qualifications
- MS/Tele, Telemetry, and ER Holding experience preferred
