Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg (Nights)

Overview

Temp assignment in Sioux City, Iowa
13-week contract
Nights, 12 hours per day
Level 3 Trauma Center
Unit patient/surgery mix: orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, medical
Scrub color: Navy Blue

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
Oncology experience
Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
Ability to administer Heparin
Ability to administer PCA (patient-controlled analgesia)
Ability to administer epidural
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Driver's License

Preferred

High-acuity care experience
Prior travel experience

Additional Details

First-time traveler okay
May float within the same discipline across local campuses
EMR: EPIC
NBO: 16 hrs
Traveler will be required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day
Limit of 1 day request off between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27
No locals; candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver’s license
