Description

Operating Room

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in Knoxville, Tennessee.
  • Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • 36 hours per week.
  • No call required.
  • Holidays when applicable.
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility.
  • Contract length: 13 weeks.

Role Details

  • OR Ortho Circulator.
  • Based in a unit with 6 ORs: 2 Ortho Trauma Rooms and 4 Ortho Block Rooms.
  • Patient age group: Adults/Geriatrics.
  • Procedures include ortho level 1 trauma procedures, elective total joint replacement, MAKO robotic total knee and hip procedures, fracture management, sports medicine, and basic spinal cases.
  • No neuromonitoring or advanced experience necessary.
  • Primary vendors: Smith & Nephew and Stryker.
  • Hana Table experience is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong work ethic and self-accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Tennessee.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • 2 years of Operating Room experience.
  • Operating Room experience within the last year.
  • 2 or more completed travel assignments.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
  • Ability to circulate.
  • Experience with MAKO robotic total knee and hip procedures.
  • Ortho Trauma experience.
  • Must have all 3s and 4s in Ortho.
  • Must be competent in orthopedics.
  • Cerner familiarity.
  • No first-time travelers.
  • Cannot be a return traveler to OrthoTennessee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hana Table experience.
  • Preference for candidates who are not return travelers.
