Cath Lab Technician

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Stuart, Florida.
• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology.
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00–17:30.
• Start date is the next applicable orientation date, about 3–4 weeks out.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
• Floating within scope is required, including float to all 3 hospitals within 20 miles.
• Call is required.
• Weekend requirement can be discussed with the manager.
• Block scheduling is not accommodated.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida.
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
• 1.5 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Negative 10 Panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test.
• No pending license accepted.
• All requested time off must be included at submission.
• Government-issued photo ID.
• E-Verify or attestation.
• Background check and required fingerprint clearance.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM.
• HHS/OIG.
• Physical exam.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation.
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption.
• 2 professional references.
• Employment application.
• Skills checklist.
• Online modules completed before start.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement.
• Pass/fail testing acknowledgement.
• Competency exam.
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable.
• State license verification, as applicable.
• NURSYS verification is required for all RNs, if applicable.
• AHCA privacy policy, affidavit, and demographic information sheet, if applicable.
• COVID-19 proof of approved exemption, if applicable.

Preferred

• 2 years of specialty experience.
• Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT).
• RCIS.
• National certification for Cath Lab Tech.

• Short Term Acute Care facility.
• 180 staffed beds.
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue.
• Charting system: EPIC.
• Parking is free in unrestricted spaces.
