Description
ED Surge RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Manchester, New Hampshire.
- The traveler will be contracted to the ED unit, specifically to care for inpatient/CICU Level holds in ED.
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30.
- 36 hours per week.
- 13-week contract.
- No Thanksgiving RTO.
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of experience in Cardiac Stepdown
- Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with cardiac drips, including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labatolol, Dopamine, and Dobutamine
Preferred Qualifications
- ED experience.
Unit / Clinical Scope
- ED unit caring for inpatient/CICU Level holds in ED.
- Overflow may include Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, and Orthopedic patients.
- Patient diagnoses include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia, post-cath with stent only, ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversions.
- Floating may include similar units.
- Team nursing / Helping Hands approach.
- Patient sitting may be assigned.
- Special equipment includes Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, Alaris Pumps, and Phillips Monitoring System.
