RN - MS/Tele

Overview

Role: RN- MS/Tele (ACE Unit-Acute Care for the Elderly)
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
Hours per week: 36
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
First-time travelers: Accepted
Locals: Accepted within radius rule
Pending license: Not accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
IV starts
Blood product administration
Central/peripheral/PICC line management
Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
Remote telemetry monitoring
Heparin protocols
Proficient in geriatric-focused care
Experience with Epic

Unit Details

ACE unit has 26 beds
Provides telemetry-capable care for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older
Patient ratio: 1:5

Floating

May float to other units or campuses as needed
Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies

Additional Notes

RTO, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission and are subject to facility approval at booking
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
