Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a respiratory care program
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year

Patient Population

• Primarily adult patients, with a very small percentage of pediatric patients from the ED
• Not a NICU RT position

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1–Mar 31)
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
• 7-year criminal background check required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG required within 30 days of start
• Education verification required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
• Color blind testing required prior to start
• Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III required
• Traveler checklist required prior to start
• Pre-employment physical within 1 year of start
• Fit test within last 12 months required before start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire required annually
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella immunization documentation required
• Negative 11-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
• Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Employment application/resume required
• Skills checklist required as applicable by specialty/profession
• Work history verification required for standard 7-year history
