Pathologists Assistant/Pathology Technician

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Jupiter, Florida
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00–16:30
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role focus

• Experience in a pathology department doing expert consult send-outs to other institutions
• Experience with pathology processes for sending out materials for molecular testing
• Understanding of pathology workflows
• Certified medical transcriptionist or pathology experience is preferred

Required qualifications

• Pathologists' Assistant with 2 years of experience
• Pathologists' Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience with Cerner
• Experience with Epic
• State license verification required
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Fit mask within 12 months of start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
• Positive titers within 5 years of start for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination on file year-round
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions accepted
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist annually
• Emergency contact form prior to start
• Background check
• HHS/OIG check annually
• Fingerprinting clearance required prior to start
• Parking registration form
• System access security acknowledgement prior to start
• Signed job description prior to start
• Competency exam as applicable to profession
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable to profession
