Description

Occupational Therapist Inpatient Rehab

Role Overview

  • Occupational Therapist in a Medical Rehabilitation Unit inside a Trauma hospital.
  • Primarily stroke patients (40%).
  • 13-week travel/contract assignment.
  • Start date: every other week on Mondays, once fully cleared.
  • Day shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30–16:00 or 7:30–15:30 with a 30-minute lunch.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • 8 treatments per day.
  • First-timers accepted.
  • No call requirement.
  • No float required.
  • Not open to accommodating block schedule.
  • One Saturday per month for 4 hours; time is flexible.
  • Cerner is used for charting.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in West Virginia
  • Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
  • Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Valid Driver’s License/State ID.
  • Social Security Card.
  • NBCOT certification.
  • State license verification.
  • Color blind testing completed prior to start.
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start and updated annually.
  • Fit testing completed annually.
  • Negative TB test within 3 months of start, or acceptable alternative testing as listed in the source.
  • Tdap vaccination given after age 11.
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella immunity/vaccination requirements as listed in the source.
  • Positive Hepatitis B surface antibody titer, or declination if titer is negative.
  • Drug screen within 30 days of start.
  • Flu vaccination, exemption, or medical/religious exemption approval.
  • COVID-19 vaccination proof or signed declination form.
  • 1 reference from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse from a facility worked within 1 year of start.
  • Annual skills checklist for the specialty.
