Chemo

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Matthews, North Carolina.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM.
• 40 hours per week.
• Patient population: adults over 18 with Hematology & Medical Oncology needs.
• Ratio: 1:5.
• Unit has 10 infusion chairs.
• Can float between the Matthews and Ballantyne Clinics.
• No call.
• No weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Oncology (2 years of experience).
• Oncology experience within the last year.
• Administer Chemo.
• Central line experience required.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ONS/ONCC.

Preferred Qualifications

• OCN.

Additional Details

• First-time travelers are accepted.
• RTO after booking is not allowed.
• Pre-shift COVID screening is required.
• Scrubs are navy blue and not provided.
• Ambulatory infusion pumps are used.
• Mixing is handled by techs/pharmacy.
• Unit orientation is 8 hours, with hospital orientation in week one.
