PCU

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Greensboro, North Carolina
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
36 hours per week
Rotating weekends
Float required as needed across all facilities in the system
13-week contract
First-time travelers are accepted

Unit

3 West is a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department with a primary focus on medical neurological patients
Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) provides monitoring surveillance for patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Neuro patients
Driver's License
Experience with CPAP
Experience with BiPAP
Experience with neuro checks
Experience caring for CVA (cerebrovascular accident) patients
Experience with Yale Swallowing screen
Experience with TR band management
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Charge RN experience

Scheduling / Workflow

Staff is scheduled in 6-week periods through a self-assisted schedule system
