Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Gaffney, South Carolina.
• Resource Pool assignment based at Cherokee Medical Center, with float potential to the main campus if needed.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Open to 48s.

Unit / Float Scope

• MS/Tele.
• May float to other units within Church Street and Mary Black Campus if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina.
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience).
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• NIHSS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Must be able to pass arrhythmia and medication testing on day 1.
• On-call required.
• Pending license accepted, but license must be obtained before starting.
• Must submit all requested RTO with the initial application.
• Must be able to pass a fit test onsite; shaving may be required.
• South Carolina - SLED Criminal Records Search Results required.
• Employment application required.
• Photo ID required.
• State license verification required.
• NURSYS verification required.
• Acknowledgement of PassFail Testing required.
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Drug testing within 90 days of start.
• COVID vaccination documentation required.
• Flu vaccination documentation or declination required for the 2026–27 flu season.
• TB screening or chest X-ray required within 3 months of start.
• Respirator safety clearance required within 1 year of start.
• References required.

Preferred

• First-time travelers accepted.
• Open to 48s.

Scheduling / Policies

• Weekend coverage as needed.
• Block scheduling not accommodated.
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles.
• Attendance policy applies; more than two missed shifts in a 13-week contract may lead to cancellation.
