Oncology Chemo Certified

Role Overview

  • Travel/Contract RN position in Tyler, Texas.
  • Outpatient setting.
  • Patient population includes all cancer diagnoses, plus malignant and non-malignant hematology.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas.
  • Oncology experience within the last year.
  • 1 year of oncology experience.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI or American Safety and Health Institute.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.
  • 7-year background check.
  • Education verification of highest level completed.
  • Color blind testing.
  • Complete application/resume.
  • 7-year work history verification.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist.
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start.
  • Fit test within 1 year of start.
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
  • Adult Tdap within 10 years of start.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunization or titer documentation as specified by the source.
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season.
  • Drivers license or state ID.
  • E-Verify requirement.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM.
  • HHS/OIG.
  • Orientation packet acknowledgement.
  • Non-employee packet completion.
  • Photo for badge.

Certifications

  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and MAB are required as applicable.

Restrictions

  • Travelers residing in the following counties are not contracted: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.

Contract Details

  • 13-week contract.
  • Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 to 17:00.
  • 40 hours per week.
