Ultrasound Tech - General

Overview

  • Travel/contract assignment in Hazard, Kentucky
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Friday–Sunday, 2:00 PM–2:00 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract
  • No on-call

Required Qualifications

  • Ultrasound Technologist with 2 years of experience
  • Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience with general ultrasound
  • Experience with vascular ultrasound
  • Experience with fetal ultrasound
  • ARDMS
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Driver's License
  • Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted
  • Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
  • 2 references within 1 year of start date
  • 7-year work history verification
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
  • Competency Exam within 1 year prior to start date, renewed annually
  • Core Part I
  • Core Part II
  • Core Part III
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • National certification verification prior to facility start upon expiration, as applicable by profession and state
  • Physical exam or physician note/statement within 1 year prior to start, showing clear to work and free of restrictions
  • Fit mask completion onsite
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start
  • Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation
  • Kentucky vulnerable adult maltreatment registry verification within 30 days prior to start
  • West Virginia APS/CPS search results are required for all clinical and allied specialties in West Virginia ARH facilities
  • Assignment confirmation must be signed within 24 hours of offer

Additional Notes

  • GE ultrasound equipment
  • Orientation is bi-weekly
  • Medical and religious flu vaccine exemptions may be approved on a case-by-case basis
  • Latex allergy accommodation is available
  • PAPRs cannot be accommodated due to facial hair
  • Housing is not mentioned
