Stepdown Neuro

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Cookeville, Tennessee
Start date: ASAP
13-week contract
Shift: Day (3x12 Hours) 7:00 19:00
Hours per week: 36
Ratios: 4:1 days, 5:1 nights
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Block scheduling: open to accommodating block schedule
Local candidates: accepted within a 50-mile radius
Time off restriction: no RTO 2/8/26 – 3/26/26

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
One completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Stepdown experience
NIHSS
Required documentation includes a government-issued photo ID, proof of E-Verify or attestation for APN, a 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, education verification, physical exam, negative TB or chest X-ray, drug screen, 2 clinical references, employment application/resume, skills checklist, and Tennessee abuse registry check
Required health documentation includes measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, flu vaccination or declination, and COVID vaccination or declination
Required certifications and verifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, NURSYS verification, state license verification, competency exam, medication/pharmacology competency as applicable, pass/fail testing, and orientation safety/manual acknowledgment

Additional Notes

On-call not required
Special requirements include neuro experience being a plus
