Description

Emergency Department RN

Overview

  • Travel/Contract assignment in York, Pennsylvania
  • 13-week contract
  • Evening shift: 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Floating as needed to ETCU
  • Weekends and holidays as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Schedule Expectations

  • Every 3rd weekend
  • Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays, or 1 of 2 holidays if the contract spans only 2 holiday periods
  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off
  • Blocked schedule not approved

Unit Details

  • Emergency Department is a 74-bed department
  • Includes a 3-bed trauma bay
  • ETCU is a 22-bed expansion of the Emergency Department
  • ETCU has telemetry capability and may be placed under negative pressure if needed

Additional Notes

  • May care for COVID patients
  • Tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility
