Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract RN position in Everett, Washington
- Start date: ASAP
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- First-time travelers accepted
- Weekends required
- Call not required
- Locals not accepted
- Float required to Postpartum
- Assignment is at the Pacific Campus, which is the Pavilion for Women and Children with comprehensive maternity services and Level II NICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Post Partum experience
Unit Details
- High-risk perinatal care
- Level III unit
- 19 labor and delivery beds
- 10 antepartum beds
- 30 postpartum beds
- 3 ORs
- 2 PACU
- 7-bay triage
Preferred Experience
- Experience in facilities handling 200+ deliveries
- Candidates with experience in facilities handling 100–200 deliveries may also be considered
Staffing Notes
- Goal staffing: 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, 1:2–3 in antepartum
- Triage is staffed with 3 skilled RNs per shift
- 2 surgical techs on days and 2 on nights
- 3 CNAs per shift in postpartum
- 3–4 delivering providers 24/7
- 2 CRNAs 24/7
- 2 Health Unit Coordinators 24/7
Additional Notes
- Charting: EPIC
- Scrub color: any except reddish orange
- Guaranteed hours: clinician can be called off for 1 12-hour shift per 2-week period
