Description
ICU RN
Role Overview
- Travel RN assignment in ICU
- 1 opening
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend hours are rotating/as needed
- Call is census dependent
- Float requirements are census dependent
- 13-week contract
- Orientation is weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater away to be considered travel
Unit Details
- ICU has 10 beds
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Trauma Level III
- Patient population is adults 18+ with rare pediatric post-op patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with ventilator management
- Experience with vasoactive drips
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimal two years of ICU experience
Common Diagnoses / Treatments
- COPD exacerbation
- DKA
- Atrial fibrillation
- Pre/post heart catheterization
- Septic shock
Work Environment
- Equipment includes Baxter pump, GE bedside monitor, and Arjo beds
- EHR: Meditech
Additional Notes
- Any color scrubs are allowed
- Street clothes and apparel with an outside hospital name are not allowed
