Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist

Overview

• Contract role in St Johnsbury, Vermont
• Days, Monday–Friday, plus call
• 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Role Summary

• Travel Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist supporting perioperative services in a rural critical access hospital
• Works with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff to support patients before, during, and after surgery

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• CST or NBSTSA
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Previous operating room experience required

Housing

• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing accommodations during the assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique and assist during operative procedures
• Handle instruments and supplies, retract tissue, and support patient positioning
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist with patient transport, specimen management, documentation processes, and postoperative preparation
• Scrub urgent or emergent procedures as needed
