Description
Surgical First Assistant
Role Overview
- Travel assignment in Perioperative Services
- Specialty focus: OB, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Podiatry
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 0700–1500
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
- Weekend hours: call only
- Call requirement: regular call rotation with ST
- Openings: 1
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- First Assist (1 year of experience)
- First Assist experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- OR First Assist Certification
- Experience working with General Surgery patients
- Experience working with Podiatry patients
- Orthopedics experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Same skillset/experience as the required OB, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, and Podiatry assisting experience
Unit / Setting
- Floor: 1, Surgery
- Unit has 6 ORs
- Facility has 86 beds
- EHR: MedHost
Additional Notes
- No float requirements
- Patient population: no peds, no neonate
