Description
PCU
Role Overview
- Travel/Contract RN position in a mixed acuity progressive care unit.
- 13-week assignment.
- 3x12s rotating schedule; open to straight nights, but rotating is preferred.
- Weekend coverage is required per unit needs.
- First-time travelers are accepted depending on experience.
- On-call is not required.
Unit Details
- Mixed acuity unit with 22 staffed beds.
- The unit includes a 12-bed high acuity medical-surgical area and a 10-bed PCU area.
- Travelers may rotate to med surg assignments on the unit and may float to other units as needed, including sister facilities within the metro region.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado.
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience).
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI.
- NIHSS.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
