BMT Oncology RN

Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in Saint Louis, Missouri
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
13-week contract
Unit has 32 beds/rooms
Average daily census: 30
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4:1 for all shifts
Floating is required throughout the Oncology department as needed, and the role will float to the unit with the greatest need per shift
Will not always be working specifically on the 9800 unit
Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Oncology (1 year of experience)
Oncology experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ONS/ONCC
Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
Chemo cert required
Required skills:
- Chemotherapy administration
- Accessing and managing ports
- Administration of blood and blood products
- Central line blood draw
- Central line/implanted line care
- PICC line care
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Antibiotics
- Antiemetics
- Foley catheter insertion/management
- Isolation Precautions
- Telemetry Interpretation
- Telemetry monitoring
Will accept first time travelers
