Registered Nurse – MS/Tele

Overview

• Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: ASAP, with starts on 11/7, 11/16, or 11/30

Schedule

• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
• Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week
• Weekends: Every other weekend

Float Scope

• May float up to IMCU (stepdown) if needed, within skill set.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
• Ability to interpret and sign off on telemetry strips
• BLS certification issued by American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or RQI (may be pending at submission)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, required for ICU, IMC/IMCU, inpatient, Med Surg, and Step Down RN positions; must be renewed annually (may be pending at submission)
• Competency exams as applicable to profession and specialty
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable to profession

Pre-Start Requirements

• Background check: 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually. Includes SSN trace, county searches for the last 7 years of locations lived, worked, or attended school, and a nationwide sex offender search.
• State screening: Wisconsin Caregiver Search Results, completed within 90 days of start. The agency must run this search.
• Drug screen: 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days of start. Instant screens are not accepted. A positive marijuana test is not a disqualifier.
• Physical exam: Within 1 year of start.
• TB screening: QGold within 1 year of start. TSpot and PPD are not accepted in place of QGold. If QGold is not used, a negative chest X-ray is required within 60 days of start.
• References: 2 supervisor references are required. One is from the current or most recent assignment and one from the second most recent assignment. One is due at submission and the second within 1 week of start. For inpatient RNs, one reference must come from the most recent acute care assignment and include comments on performance. The facility must approve references before use.
• Onboarding: Candidate signs a confidentiality statement before start.
