Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or in invasive cardiology jobs
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Must hold one of the following credentials:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R)
  • Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Ability to provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP), and peripheral vascular procedures in a modern invasive cardiology department
• Support a multidisciplinary healthcare team including invasive cardiologists, electrophysiologists, RNs, and technologists
• Participate in advanced cardiac interventions such as STEMI and cardiac arrest treatments (Impella, ECMO)
• Assist with EP procedures including cardioversions, device implants, and ablations for rhythm management
• Contribute to department growth in structural heart procedures
• Document patient care and procedures accurately in EPIC EMR
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including tobacco and fragrance-free requirements
