• Job Type: Travel Contract

• End Date: October 21, 2024
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shifts, 5x8 hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,390 - $3,650

Pathology Assistant Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Pathology Assistant in an anatomical pathology or hospital laboratory setting
• Certified Pathology Assistant (PA) – ASCP certification preferred
• Ability to work on-site in Ithaca, NY (New York clinical support jobs)
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient care

Pathology Assistant Responsibilities

• Prepare, dissect, and process anatomic pathology specimens in a hospital laboratory environment
• Participate in intraoperative consultations and specimen management tasks
• Maintain the gross room and ensure efficient laboratory workflow
• Perform postmortem examinations, including organ evisceration and dissection
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to deliver accurate and timely pathology results
