Radiation Therapist Job Details

• Location: Ithaca, New York (Zip: 14850) – New York healthcare jobs

• End Date: September 30, 2024
• Duration: 7-week contract
• Shift: 5x8 hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Radiation Therapist Qualifications

• Valid ARRT certification as a Radiation Therapist
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment and treatment planning systems
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
• Current BLS certification (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients as prescribed by Radiation Oncologists
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain radiation therapy equipment in compliance with safety standards
• Monitor patient responses and provide compassionate clinical support throughout treatment
• Accurately document treatments and maintain up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
