Dietitian Job Requirements

• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required
• Active Pennsylvania state license or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Dietitian in a hospital or long-term care setting
• Strong clinical nutrition assessment and care planning skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities within a healthcare team

Hospital Dietitian Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize clinical outcomes
• Educate patients and families on nutrition, dietary modifications, and healthy eating habits
• Monitor, document, and adjust nutrition care plans based on patient progress
• Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
